Job Title: Accounting Manager

Reports To: Corporate Controller

 


 

SUMMARY:  Participates in and has overall responsibility for monthly financial close; supervises staff including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Payroll functions; is responsible for General Ledger Maintenance, Fixed Asset reporting, and Treasury functions; prepares monthly management financial reporting package and executive summary schedules; coordinates and facilitates the process of documenting accounting policies and procedures; is primary lead for Audit support.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following (other duties may be assigned):

  • Supervising Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Payroll
  • Bi-weekly processing of payroll using ADP PayeXpert, payroll reporting
  • Manage fixed asset tracking; maintain fixed asset database, calculate depreciation for book and tax purpose.
  • Capital Expenditure tracking and reconciliation of projects
  • Record monthly journal entries for: prepaid expenses, depreciation expense, and accrued expenses, allocations, etc.
  • Update monthly balance sheet and expense account analysis, monthly departmental reporting
  • Administer Concur- expense report system (setting up new employees, audit of expenses, processing for payment)
  • Assist auditors in interim and year end audits-supply required information; prepare reports and reconciliations as needed.
  • Special projects as assigned by Corporate Controller
  • Finance Liaison for S,G & A departments

  • Undergraduate degree in Accounting
  • 5+ years similar experience
  • Manufacturing Experience a plus
  • Strong Communications skills / outgoing / proactive
  • Able to deal professionally and effectively with all levels of personnel
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP
  • Must be team player

 

              EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

              Undergraduate degree in accounting (BA or BS)

              OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:

  • Experience with mid range ERP systems – implementations a plus
  • Strong computer skills – Microsoft Excel – expert level desired, PowerPoint, Word, database/report writing skills a must (FRx, Crystal, Access)
