Excelsior denies Ivera’s Patent Allegations

Excelsior Medical Corporation, a leading manufacturer of pre-filled catheter flush syringes and syringe pump systems, and manufacturer of SwabCap®, a needleless connector cap that effectively disinfects and protects needleless connectors between accesses, denies all allegations of patent infringement made by Ivera Medical Corporation in its filing on May 20, 2011 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California. Excelsior also has counter-sued for non- infringement and for a declaration that Ivera’s patent is invalid. read more.

Excelsior Medical Corporation announced today that it has received FDA 510(k) clearance for SwabFlushTM, its latest product for the vascular access and infection control markets.
